How to get to Boracay

Boracay Island is located at the north tip of Panay Island in the center of the Philippines. You can get there by Air or by Sea

To fly to Boracay you can choose one of two available airports - Caticlan or Calibo, both situated on Panay Island - Boracay is too small to have an airport.

Caticlan Airport

Caticlan Airport is quite close to Boracay Island. It takes just a 10-20 minute boat ride from Caticlan Jetty Port to Boracay.

Air lines offering flights to Caticlan:

  • AsianSpirit, return flight in high season - PHP 9000(166$), in low season - PHP 7000 (137$)
  • Sea air, return flight.

Visit www.AsianSpirit.com or www.FlySeair.com for more details.

Kalibo Airport

From Kalibo to Caticlan takes a 1 and half hour bus-ride. The advantage to use this Airport is that the airlines servicing this airport give a larger baggage allowance, so if you’re bringing everything plus the kitchen sink then this is your best option.

Philippine Air flies to Kalibo, visit Philippine airlines for more details.

To Boracay by Sea

There are several ferries from Manila to Boracay. One way takes approximately 12 hours. It is not that comfortable but cheap. One way will cost approx PHP 900 to PHP 2500 depending on the class you take.
